Help, please.

Okay, So I've had my sound system for about two months now. Hifonics Brutus BRZ2100 (through a 5-farad Tsunami capacitor) with two Rockford Fosgate P3 12's. One day I was driving around and the amp went into protection mode, which happens, so i wasn't worried. But once i had turned everything off and back on, I couldn't turn it up loud anymore. I can listen to the system on 23 for days with everything functioning just right, but if i get it up to 25 or 30 it'll cut off as soon as the bass hits. We unplugged the capacitor and now when it cuts off it makes this popping noise. Is the problem in my amp? or is it a dying speaker?

I don't have the one for the amp plugged in, but i had the bass boost on my head unit up when this happened.

You shouldn't use the bass boost

What do you mean by electrical support?

Alternator, battery, big 3, that kind of stuff. Also, that cap isn't doing you too many favors.

Yeah, I'm going to be putting in a battery and taking out the capacitor, i just want to know what i need to fix before i add anything. Do you think it's the speakers dying? or something in the amp?
