Help please

Hi I'm having trouble installing subs in my 01 vw gti. Sorry I'm new at car audio. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

The light on the amp turns on and everything i just cant get any sound to come out of the subs.

I have the stock double din monsoon headunit. I have this amp:

And 2 rockford fosgate 15 inch subs in a box with a red wire and black wire connectors in the back.

I have this converter

In the back where my stock amp is I spliced 4 wires and connected them to the converter and ran a rca cable from that to the amp(thers a low in and a output which one should i plug them into?). in the back of the amp it says speaker with right and left connectors, i plugged the sub wires into here. under the connectors it says bridged idk if that means anything.

That is a hi lev to low lev converter. You hook it in to the output of the rear speakers if you want a sub. + to + and - to - thats it. All it does is convert your line outs to RCA.

Also when you can afford it get a better amp.

^What he said. Also you should make sure your running the speaker wire correctly, especially since your running 2 15s to one amp. If you know what Ohms you want the speakers and amp at, or rather what it should be set at, then heres how to know how to wire em:Subwoofer Wiring Diagrams

Don't worry about ribbing about your gear. We all started somewhere.

You should be able to go to the manufacturers website to download an owners manual if you don't already have one.
