Ok so i finnally got an amp on my DP 15 in my eclipse, and it was helllla loud, but on the way to work, it was loud, then i heard a small pop(was not the sound of frying something or blowing something), and i pulled over and all the connections were good, (couldnt check ground or power under hood), and after work i took the sub out and its still connected fine(the sub is not scraping/blown) and the amp fuses are fine, and i switched speaker terminals and the same thing, checked rcas etc.

So i tried turning the gain up, i turned it all the way up turned bass boost all the way up, and the same loudness...(turned it back where it was right away)..Please help as i just got my amp two days ago, thanks alot. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Well i guess i can do that tommorow..You think one coil could of blown or something? Cause it doesnt sound blown and no scraping etc, Its a quad 1 ohm btw...And i dont have another sub to check the amp but idt thats it, could it be a ground? And my power wire under hood is really crappy, but idk why it would suddenly make a differance.

bump alot of views, but not much help, please guys im in a hurry //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

pull the sub out check the coils. if all looks well test the amp on another speaker.
x2, im not there right now so i cant really go through the ropes. id also dink with the h/u. do what the op said and then maybe dink with your h/u maybe? maybe its pooped or sometrhing? unlikely but you never know.

Idt its anything tuning wise on the head unit, i turned all the bass adding stuff and lows etc all the way up no differance, turn it all the way down and it goes down in volume(back to irginal)...do you mean connection wise? i really dont know, but im pretty pissed finnally got my new car loud and its not as loud anymore(still is decent though)..But still ****. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

well just anything, connections, perhaps test it in another rig. like i said its unlikely but hey you never know. maybe the loud buttons off or somethin

ok all te coils read 2.0 or so, but one reads 4.0, but i think its always been this way i really dont know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

ttt. Help PLEASE...Checked power/ground an their fine, only thing i can see is that it might be the headunit idk, no burns on amp or anything weird....Maybe an rca fell out of the back of the head unit?(i hope so) idk..
