So my cousin just left for Guantánamo Bay, Army. Before he left, he left me with his system and asked me to try to figure it out for him. We are just unsure of the proper way to run/ wire this system. I know the basics, but i am seeking help to get this set up to run top knotch, get the most out of it as possible.
I am running:
(2) Phoenix Gold 15" Tantrum Series Subwoofers Dual 4 Ohm voice coils
Non-Ported Box
(1) Phoenix Gold Tantrum Series 1200.1
Both woofers have 2 +and - on the backside of woofer. Right now they wired with the wire coming from the box to 1 + and -, and then a short jumper wire to the other + and -.
The Amplifier is a monoblock, but has 2 + and - also. Right now, each speaker wire is in a + and - of its own.
My reason For asking this is because, when he gave me the system he told me that something isnt right. It used to hit hard and now its barely hitting. My little walmart electrical tester reads that there is 12.81 volts going into the amp, and at the speaker wire terminals i am reading approx. .120 volts.
Does my set up seem to be right? How should i test this amplifier to see if its working properly? Please Help, Opinions and Help is Greatly Appreciated
