Help on amp installation

I got a jbl 600.1 amp yesterday and began installing it. But it only comes on when the radio is on, if I switch to cd the amp turns off. I know its because of the antenna remote wire, but I connected it to the Antenna Remote wire from my HU (which the instructions said to do), since this obviously isnt right, where do I put that wire?

is your HU stock or an after market unit. if is the latter it should have a remote turn on wire in addition to the antenna wire.

If your headunit is an aftermarket, the Power Ant. lead should come on when you power up your headunit. I have noticed on some factory headunits (newer models) when you switch from the radio to a CD the ant. lowers. If all else fails, you can always wire your Power on lead into a switched 12V.

Alright I got it. There were 2 remote turn on wires, and Antenna Remote and an Amplifier Remote. I had the amp rem ready to connect to the turn on wire, but somehow I accidently connected it to the ant rem wire, which explains why it only came on with the radio. I just retraced my wires and found the problem, thanks for the help though.
