Help me wit this setup please!!

Hey....im kind of a newb with car audio. Heres what I just bought and i want to know if this will be good or not for my car. I got a Daewoo Leganza. Yeah i know pretty rare lol.

I got:

2 Infinity Kappa 120.3DVC subs, 12"

A Pioneer DEH-P6400

A JBL600.1 amp

and im using my factory speakers that came with my car. If this a good setup or will i have problems? Please help i dont want to install this package if problems will occur. Thanks.

my friend has that car, very nice . well that system should be fine. those subs are alright. what kind of box are u getting for those subs.

Possibly components up front if the front speakers are 5 1/4, or 6 in. If not then just get some good aftermarket speakers, or kick panels to put comps in.

im gettin a ported sub box....does it matter if the amp doesnt have the subsonic filter?

Hey bro your it does matter but your manual or something for you subwoofer should say how much cubic feet your subwoofer will need

You can buy inline subsonic filters from.. uh, harrison labs?? dunno.. someone should know. But like tglisson said.. check the specs on the sub, and find out what size enclosures it reccomends, and what frequencies it reccomends for SQ//SQL

Hrm, I ran without a subsonic filter on my USX amp for a number of months with that amp, years with the previous underpowering Jensen amp. I think you're ok without one if you're not putting the sub to its limits, mainly because my vega survived my abuse. That being said, when I was making a thezeb.com order for my new HU, I tacked in an inline subsonic filter so I wouldn't worry about it anymore. I think you're fine without it, but, for $20, I was willing to give it a try myself. My reasoning was more based on the fact that I wouldn't spend power on inaudible frequencies than fear of damage to the sub.
