Help deciding on new subwoofer

Okay, So I am in the market for a new subwoofer.

It will be getting about 1000 watts daily with my Fusion Powerplant PP-AM200010

I don't care if it is one or two subwoofers. I have the room.

10 or 12 inch preferably.

Budget is less than 300.

Here are some things I was looking at:

Fi Q

DD 2512

Mag V4

DC LV4

JBL GTi series II

You can also make your own recommendations if you don't like the ones I listed

DC Level 4 would be my choice, but are gonna want 1000 watts a piece, not 500.

Out of the Q and the 2512, I've heard both. The 2512 got a little louder but to me the Q sounded a bit better.

Both are good choices, can't go wrong with either.

At this point, I am probably going to go with which ever one is cheaper... haha, because DD, DC, and Fi all seem to have excellent costumer service and they all seem to be equally great...

i love alpine type r 10s. one ten in a ported box made to alpine specs would be my choice. but then again i'm fairly noobish. i fell in love with the typeRs a few years. best bang for the buck. 250 bucks will get you a single type r 10" or 12" and a box built accordingly off of ebay. they take a max rms of 500, and peak at 1500 watts i believe.

here's their actual specs...

10" component subwoofer

dual 4-ohm voice coils

frequency response: 26-500 Hz

power handling: 50-500 watts RMS

peak power: 1,500 watts

sensitivity: 85 dB

Kevlar-reinforced pulp cone

cast aluminum frame with perimeter venting

i like that they have a wide range of frequency response. hits good lows, and amazing higher sounding base. good to rock out with... that's just my .02.

i didn't realize how big of an amp you are using. that thing is huge. you could easily run 2 typeR 10s or 12s or one single alpine typeX will take your 1000 rms. and they have smaller boxes. yet they have a smaller range of frequency.

Thanks, Yeah, my amp is a pretty big one. I like it. =] I'll keep the type r in mind

ID Max/QRE SX

SI Mag

Some others to consider..?

-Bill-
I was looking at the ID, I have the SX (looking for a change), and the SI mag is an option...
