I use an adjustable 12-20 volt on my jeep....the ECU doesnt like it so much when you go past 14v, the dreaded "GEN" light comes on until I turn the adjustment knob back down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gifanybody?

no the 180A came from a guy who wanted to comepletly custom build me one, from a different website. That appears to be a stock case, so apparently its a respin job. 140amp was probably all they could squeeze out of that sized cased. And to be honest, Im a bit skeptical about the output rating. The reason if you bump it up to a 180amp unit or bigger the price triples is because that's when you get into custom cases (usually full-sized GM), and then you have to custom mount it. Like someone said earlier, sure you can call Mechman and he'll say he has 200+amp units for your ride... but they wont be stock cases, and they will require custom fitting.
140 A //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifI bought my alt from American Power Systems. 220amp 325 shipped. Have had great success with it and Phil is great with customer service!
