i was wondering if i could get some pointers on improving the sound quality of my ported box?? its currently a mess from all the tweaks and little changes i have done to get louder and the ect and i wanna build a new one..

i have one pioneer premier pro and before people jump on me about pioneer crap its only a temp till i get my work and college calendars worked out im currently unemployed and trying the best i can lol.

i own a S10 and i plan on going with 2 12s and a 2k amp along with wire upgrades and such in the future when money can be spared 1-2k //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif lol..

what port/sub facing sounds best in s10? i have 600 rms going to the 12 so would 1.8 - 2.0 cu.ft box be too big for this one little 12? i know its not recommended to be ported but i like the sound.. Im pretty much looking for help with fine tuning boxes i can build anything with my hands and i can learn pretty quickly if someone can point me in the right direction to box building perfection lol.

Im looking forward to being an active part of this forum and sharing my experience and knowledge with others willing to impart theirs to me.. Thanks for any help and remarks i can take good and bad criticism..

I am not an enclosure guru but you will have to post up the model number of the sub for someone to help you that knows what they're doing. Also post the amp that you are using.

my sub is a TSW3004 i think its a 3000w pioneer sub i think its around 3-4 years old. Its kinda like chuffing or something similar and the low lows sound good but the kinda lows dont really sound that great like in juice box but i put on C&S sounds good and they chuff lol. im using a DirectedAudio 800.2 i think is the name and it pushes the sub pretty good. I cant really describe the problem with the sound quality but its not a crisp sound its kinda sloppy and i think it can be improved with some minor additions or i can scrap it and build another.

Well that Pioneer Premier sub isn't really known for sound quality, they're more about getting loud.
