My name is Kelly Bachand, I installed for a few years at Best Buy (cue the anti-Best Buy commentary!) while going to school for electrical engineering at the University of Washington. I became an MECP Master installer along the way and was one of the younger MECP Masters at the time (22 years old). I now work for Aerojet Rocketdyne where I design and analyze the systems that power the latest generation of electric thrusters for spacecraft. I haven't worked in an install bay since the end of 2011, but I still tinker with my own cars and I'll do an install for a friend here or there; my interest in electronics and car audio has not waned.

I'm also somewhat of a gun guy and love shooting just about anything that goes bang.
