I'm Ben with Nuway Speaker Products. We make soft components (cones, dust caps, spiders, screens, surrounds etc.) used by some of the best loudspeaker manufacturers in the world.

We're one of the few soft component manufacturers left in North America and the largest.

so is there some kind of easy way to buy from you guys?

or do we have to buy in bulk and all that fancy stuff?

do you do high power applications? such as stiff spiders and thick paper cones? for SPL purposes and the likes?

Many of the brands are reviewed on this site and talked about frequently here from what I've seen.

2 of them are in your sig, but I can't name all of them here.

Chances are, if they're still making their own drivers stateside, we're working with them in some way.

Yes, we've done some cones so thick you could stand on them:laugh: . We really only do bulk, not small recone orders, but we do sell to companies who sell in small numbers like that.

Thats unfortunate that you wont sell small orders of 1-2 cones or spiders to the little guys. That would at least improve your reputation..... I just wanted to introduce myself here, but most the time I'll just be lurking, reading reviews, and I'll occasionally chime in.

Well, let me explain a little better why we don't sell this way.

1. we are a manufacturing company

We either create a design or duplicate a design and the fulfill orders. Each part takes a specific tool, and each tool takes quite a bit of labor to setup. We don't have retail capacity in any sense of the word.

2. We sell major volume to companies who sell to persons interested in reconing, selling here would be tking away from t5heir business.

That doesn't mean I can't tell you where to get something specific or what the upgrade in material or design would be and where to get it, or the glue we use and recommend, and where to get that. So I'm useful for a few things, and I currently don't know much about installations and car audio setup in general so I'll be here learning too.

Umm, which Nu-Way do you work for ?? I have been to there main site in Il and I don't know of any sites in Arizonia as you claim that you are from ? Also, Nu-Way is an ok company for parts. They don't make any composite cones, they order all of them from China. They don't make any Nomex material spiders, only Poly-Cotton and Cotton spiders. They are also very limited on the Dust Cap materials, but, I am not saying that they are bad. Just they require a very large minimum order and have very limited making abilities. On the cones, there minimum for a standered Non-Press Paper Cone is 500 pcs per size minimum. In order to get a strong enough Non-press Paper Cone for most SPL drivers it is very thick and very heavy! The Composite Cones weigh half as much and are twice as strong.. If they were to lower there minimum order amounts and be able to produce some better materials, I think that they would double there current volume in sales. Or, sale in minimums of 10 and do more direct sales. Either way they need to do something in the next 10 years to stay in business since everything is being made in China and now China is getting better and better parts!
