hello from sunny lancashire England

i have a vw t4 transporter 2003 i am planning on a basic camper convention but i want to install a sound system its been ages since i have done one and i have never done one on a van

i have pioneer 8100 head unit, jl monoblock amp,1xjbl 12" bass tube ,2x 12"rockford fosgate punch and no idea where to install speakers for optimum space and sound .

my plans with the van is a seat/bed and a small cooker that i have on a draw assembly behind drivers seat

and a leisure battery to go in somewhere .

i know i need to buy a load more bits when i can afford them but just like to get good advice before i buy anything

thanks jay

so what are you asking for ,also welcome
cheers

i am trying to find where to position the speakers for optimum space and sound

also advice on crossover/equaliser

sound insulation etc the list goes on , i am a joiner so hopefully this project won't be beyond my capabilities but i have never done fiberglass but i will give it a go

Welcome to the site!!

Take some time and read around, there is TONS of great information already out there in existing threads, and some very knowledgeable members on here to help you out!

audio technix deadener ,components in the frt doors to start .pics of the van would help to
pics to follow when i work out how to post pics on here

yes i was planning components in the front doors but was wondering where to put tweeters in doors or on A pillar top or bottom

i have already done the rear panels in a rubber flashband stuff i had left over from a basement it was used as 6"tape on a tanking basement system i thought it would deaden the noise on the metal panels

in some of the areas in your van .like in the cabinets or under the bed you might be able to build enclosures for the mids which will help them sound better .the tweets can be installed in the upper part of the doors or you can get an upstage tweeter system for the a pillars

also are audio has a eq ,its the peq and the matching crossover idx i think that would be nice
steady on bud you have already lost me what's peq and idx please be patient like i said i knock nails in wood my other fields of knowledge are pretty limitebut i am here to learnd
