Hi I made an account here today to hopefully seek out some useful information and tips on my first serious build. I can not find anyone to talk to about my questions, so I looked into forums and found caraudio.com

I have been a serious fan of car audio for about 5 years. Active in car audio for 3 years. I'm 23 years old and have 1 goal in 2018, to make a 5k system featuring 2 Orion HCCA 15's. This build should last the length of this year as I will be piecing it together, not buying everything outright. I drive a 1997 K1500 5.7 extended cab with the mark 3 luxery truck package. White with red leather seats/interior.

I love music and audio in general. I listen to mostly old beats and old artists in the rap and hip-hop community of the 80's 90's. I enjoy jazz and jazz infused hip-hop as well.

Any help to navigate and use this website appropriately is much appreciated as I'm not the most fluent with websites like this. Tips tricks do's don'ts that sort of thing.

Lol first tip is don't buy hcca's if you expect to be musical, and even the newer black coil versions terrible and coils smell no matter if the signal is clean or not.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't know anything about those subwoofers besides the technical data sheet. I do prefer SQ. I was considering an alternative build if those don't work out, and that is 4 1,300rms Alphard audio 15" Machete Super Sports. Not released yet. 5k rms total, and will run the same price as two hcca 15's. I'm sure that would sound better, I just am so drawn to the brtuiness of the HCCAs. If they really do lack in quality though, I'd much rather get 4 Alphard audio machete super sport woofers.
