Hello, from Oklahoma and new to the forum. Seems to be a ton of members and vast amount of information which will provide useful.

I am in the process of planning for and purchasing an H3 ALPHA and obviously part of that process will be the installation of an audio and video system to enhance the sound quality within the truck. Below is what I have meshed together thus far. Once I do some searching through the forum for beginner tips I will probably ask what I am missing within the design of the system. (Hell, feel free to critique what I have designed thus far if you wish!)

Anyways, here is what I have...

(I was trying to use some common sense in the wiring of the above diagram, if I am missing anything which will make it more detailed please let me know!)

Equipment "Wish" List...

  1. Eclipse AVN6620 Navigation Head Unit
  2. Eclipse ECL-SC1 Sirius Satellite Radio Interface (Use Ford or MOPAR OEM Antenna, Body Colored)
  3. Eclipse MRE-700W 7" Widescreen Monitor Package (Retain Factory Headrest)
  4. Kicker ZX700.5 (5 CH Amp; Hidden within OEM Sub Area)
  5. Kicker SS65.2 (6.5" Componants; Front Door/Pillar)
  6. Kicker SSMB6 (6.5" Midbass; Rear Door)
  7. Kicker SoloX S10X (10" Sub; Two in Rear Door)

The enclosure design I wish to incorporate was devised by a HUMMER owner in the Dallas area and is shown below...

Anyways, hope to learn quite a bit from you guys on the audio and video end! Have a good one.

man i dont think your going to fit 2 solo x's in the trunk door.anyways good luck on the build.
Thanks for the wish of luck. As I research I believe I may at the least have to reduce the size down to a couple of 8's (which is what the JL's are in the other owner's install) which would eliminate the X's are require another model if not a circular sub. I am going for overall sound quality in lieu of any SPL capability so I do not know how detrimental that downgrade would be in the overall picture.

or some fiberglass work.

I would do a separate amp for the subs, but that's just me. It looks good otherwise.
x2 all the other equipment is great but personally i wud go a 4 chan and a mono for them subs, 200rms a piece wont move em. nice setup otherwise tho man

Thank you. I will do some research on the 2ch and 4ch amps and check the measurements. I am trying to fit everything within body panels so I can retain the cargo space for occupational equipment. Always difficult to have your cake and eat it too but might as well try.
