Hey, I'm a new member to these forums. Just discovered it.

Been in and around Car Audio for many years, about 20 years. Getting back into things with a system I am starting to put together in my '00 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Started off as just going to upgrade the stock head unit...

Then turned into "let's see what I have laying around..."

And "what else do I need..."

Bought an Alpine CDA-9855 on clearance about a month ago, and installed it.

Now I have to work on the front stage. I have a pair of Morel MDT-30's that's going in the front, and a set of Entra 6.5's that are going in the doors.

I decided to run an Active front stage. Never done it before.

An a/d/s/ PQ 20 is going to power the fronts.

I have an "eXtreme Energy" 12" woofer in a ported box that I bought a long time ago. Custom designed by a guy that worked for Rockford Fosgate for 30 years. Some of you may know him, Karns is his last name, he was "Karns Loudspeakers" back in the 80's.

Still have to figure out what amp to run on the sub. I want at least 300w into 4 ohms. Ones I am considering:

Phoenix Gold x600.1

Phoenix Gold x400.1

Rockford Fosgate Power BD1001 (someone on craigslist has a couple of them for $200 ea locally..)

Kicker ZX400.1, 750.1

Alpine MRD-M605

Alpine MRP-M450, 650

If anyone can help me, I am open to suggestions!
