Hello Everyone from a Software Developer

Hi Everyone,

My intentions for joining this forum is that I'm a Software Developer and a friend of mine who owns 3 shops (Window Tinting Shops - which I've built a software program for) indicated to me that i should consider building a software program for the Auto Accessories Industry.

He mentioned one called TSS or something and he's familiar with my work and said I'd be able to build a program for you folks that would be easy to use and not cost you thousands of dollars.

I'd welcome any and all comments via personal email at don@tintshoppro.com on this subject.

This is an oppourtunity for the Shop Owners to get a say-so in how a software program should work, and how much it should cost.

Thanks. Looking forward to meeting some serious shop owners here on the forums. I build good software and got into building software because i hated the software my family used to be forced into using for our Video Store and Window Tinting Shop.

I've been a programmer since 1992. I used to work for the Fed Govt as a "Senior Software Engineer" in 97-98.

It's rare that you find a programmer with actual experience in these types of industries. And, I'm a real programmer, not someone who's figured out how to use Access, or something like that and decided to call myself a programmer.

I've got over $30,000.00 in programming tools (Software) and can build almost anything.

I'm sure with enough input from some folks out there, and my own experience, I'll end up building one of the best software packages around.

Good luck meeting any shop owners here. I suggest you go to termpro.com and post on there forum, its mostly shop owners there.

I would love to see a plug-in for designing boxes with Sketchup that can calculate port frequency, etc, all the necessary information needed to design a box, and an accurate one at that.
