Hello all! New to site and need advice on "picking" my birthday present

Thinking about going with the Pioneer 880PRS head unit, phoenix xenon 200.4 for surround speakers, infinity kappa 60.7 components for the doors and boston s45's for the back in my 2000 chevrolet extended cab. Plan on using amps and subs I already have in an underseat enclosure for the lows.

Any advice on better equipment for close to the same price is most appreciated. I'd like to know where the weak point is in the system to prepare for upgrades in the future.

its such a sick looking radio, im trying to sell my pioneer deh4700mp right now to get that... the preamp outputs are 5v thats insane, compared tot he 2v im getting right now

I would never have considered that HU just by shopping, but the sales guy at the local shop strongly recommended it. I then did some research to find all the good reviews. My main dilemma is the component system for the front doors. Any comparisons b/w the infinity cappa 60.7, infinity perfect 6.1, quart dsd,dsf,dse 216's?

It's all a gift from my g/f . Changed my mind on the components to the diamond d661s and the eclipse 8465a 4x6's in the back.

My only real question now is whether to get the diamond d661s or a series components. Also not sure about wiring - thinking of Stinger Pro 0 guage kit and Stinger Hyper rca's - any suggestions?

That last post was kinda unclear - I meant to say I was trying to chose between diamond d661s or diamond d661a comp sets - I can get them for the same price.

Also, I have found what I was told is not available yet. The pioneer avh-p6800dvd. I saw it in a local shop today and was amazed. I'll probably start a new thread just to let everyone in on what could be a valuable secret (as far as I know.)
