can the size of the amp help with heat problems? ( will a smaller one get hoter faster than a bigger one? ) im looking at the new 2006 hifonics brutus 2000d. i dont want it go out one me. im also looking at the soundstream picasso 2000. also which would do better in an spl setup?. thx guys

Assuming the same output power and efficiency, a larger amp of the same design would have a larger heat sink and stay cooler..... There really isn't a rule of thumb here though because all amps can differ quite a bit.
