Hearing Test

I can hear the 18 one but I can't hear 19 and 20. Does it mean I have hearing loss if I can't hear it or do some people just hear differently than others?

^when's the last time you had a hearing test? I can hear all those tones fine but I do find the test inconclusive. What's funny is that I've failed my hearing test before going to Iraq, then came back passing it..wtf!?

i would like to have a real hearing test i could hear all those tones, but im not convinced of the validity of this test.

I go to tons of concerts, and my ears are always ringing for hours after that, my car isnt as damaging as concerts i think...

i truelly wonder if listining to music above 150db on a daily basis will have any long term effects
obviously for you it has...yo ujust said you cant hear above 18K //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

I played a sweep in my car the other day with volume on like 12-15...heard it all the way up.. I think a lot of it has to do with the speakers.

Its cool though..playing a sweep all the way up...it sounds like the sound it moving around you constantly...will be coming from the left, then the middle, then right, then together, then right.........interesting.

i know my car speakers hit around 100-110 decibals cuz i once measured inside my car with my music cranked with a decibal meter and i hit around 100 db for my normal listening and my ears kinda ring afterwards like if i iwalk in my house and it's almost dead quiet.

I wouldn't be too worried if you can't make out 20KHz very well...guys generally have rolled off HF hearing anyway compared to women and children.

Less-studied but nevertheless common in men is a notch filter found around the range of the female voice...which is switchable on or off depending on the amount of nagging in the listening environment. Preliminary studies have shown it to be very effective, with attenuation reaching 100dB/octave...

I don't think that test was that good. Those tones were stupid easy, where as when I used audacity to generate those tones it was much harder to hear them, they sounded more like real test tones too.
