Hearing radar detector over system?

Well I could never hear my radar detector over my system. I could see the lights pretty well. I however broke it from the bass. Everytime it would hit the detector would slam up against the window. Have to give the little bugger credit though. It took many a bass songs to break that thing.

Thank god my ex bought that. **** thing was like 150 bucks,lol!

why not just obey the speed limit?
1. dont have to buy radar detector

2. dont have to worry about being pulled over

3. dont have to pay ticket when detector craps itself

4. and you'll get better gas milage meaning less money at the pump

5. obeying the speed means no tickets which means "safe driver" which lowers your insurance

6. going slightly slower reduces brake wear when you have to stop

after being schooled, i obey the speed limit but still have my radar on just in case. i paid good money for it so ill just put it to use. you never know when you really need to speed and sometimes, taking the risk is worth it depending on the indivual*. (IE: long term road trips)

lesson learned: leave eariler to your destination. exceeding the speed limit isnt worth $250:crazy:

even when people are waiting on me, i tell myself "i rather have them wait then get a $250 ticket + points on my record". whether its my parents, friends, late to a special event, etc.
