headunit problems...

i have a jvc kd-g140 headunit. i took it out of my van last night and in to my car. it was working completely fine before i took it out of the van but as soon as i got it grounded and power going through it and it just lights up like it got reset... no problem. the problem is that it just stays there, it doesnt go about its normal function.. any ideas anybody?

Try doing another reset, if not, try disconnecting it leave it disconnected for a while and then connect it double checking the wiring.

i've reset it, left it disconnected, even re wired it to ensure each wire goes where it is supposed to. still no luck...

i let it set, disconnected for a couple days. i even tried a different head unit in the set up n it worked with no problem...

Try to re hook it up to the van and see if it still does that. Also when u disconnected it did u make sure to disconnect the ground from ur battery?

i havent had a chance to hook it back up to the van, ill try that later tonight... but i have tried giving it direct power to the battery itself. it still just lights up but doesnt do anything... ive checked all possible fuses, wires etc...

Are you providing power to both the constant 12v (yellow) and switched 12v (red) inputs on the HU?

does it hav a fuse in the back of the deck near the wiring harness?

yes it has a fuse in the back... but like i said i checked all fuses, and all the wiring. like i also said before, i connected the power, constant and ground to the respective battery terminals and it is still acting up
