Headunit - Amp Help!

I used to have my Quantum Audio 1000d Amp and Kicker CVR12 Sub connected to a converter with the stock deck. The subs hit hard. I got an Alpine 9884 Headunit and now the subs don't hit as hard as they used to. I adjusted the gain on the amp and the EQ on the deck. The deck itself has only 2 volts of preamp voltage. Is there a way I can fix this problem without having to buy a new deck? Thanks.

I have an Alpine 9884 Headunit with a Quantum Audio 1000d Amp. I think the converter I used with the stock deck had a higher preamp voltage than the preamp on my aftermarket deck. The amp seemed to push my subs harder with the converter and my stock deck. I re-adjusted the gains on the amp and the EQ on the deck. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
if it sounded "louder" you were probably over driving the amp. the only adjustment you should have to make is gain adjustment.
