Headphones

My kid left my $40 Creative ear buds out and the cat chewed them while I was at work so now Im looking for new headphones. Ive got $40 to burn, not a penny more, on them from whats left in my Paypal. Only requirements are decent bass and they must sound good. They can be ear buds or over the ear phones. Suggestions?

Own four pair of these in a couple different colors and each pair sounds terrific.

They are also pretty inexpensive so losing or destroying a pair (say in the washer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/pissed.gif.9f665f96bc89e98e708dabd4580bb591.gif) isn't really all that horrible.

Had a pair of those once and wasnt really all that impressed compared to my Creative HS-730i's.

sorry didn't see that you only wanted to spend $40 but i have the 425s i belive have a seperate bass tube, and tweeter, sound is jiztastik.

Put an offer in on some Shure SRH240's. If that doesnt bite what about Sennheiser, Klipsch, or other similar brands?

I do not use headphones that often but I LOVE my Sennheiser HD457's. They are "low" end as far as Sennheiser's go but using my little tube powered headphone amp, they are amazing IMO.
