head units

i have 200$ to spend on a head unit, i was lookin at the panasonic CQ-DF783U i can get for 160, its look really like except its dual preamps that are only 2.5v

i'd spend a little more than 200$ on a pioneer/alpine brand head unit but im tryin to stay under

Check out an eclipse 3403....sounds great, simple, plays mp3s, and is $199, authorized.

then get the alpine. its a great deck. U could even get a cda-9807 off ebay for a little over 200 bucks shipped.

it's great. lot of features plus 6v rca's. it can make any setup you have sound great. i really like SFEQ where it play most of the highs and mids up front and leaves the back as bass and really make a nice sound stage. plus if you like graphics it's got some nice graphics on it. if you are running amps i would recommend this because it has a very clean rca signal. it cost me like a total of $265 shipped from ikesound.com, but you could probably pick one up used for under $200.

If you are debating between the Pioneer 7500 and the alpine, get the alpine. I was not impressed whatsoever with the 7500, i have no experience with the 750 (premier) though.

what alpine are you talking about? in my expierence with alpine and pioneer when you spend the same exact money on each unit you tend to get more with pioneer but both alpine and pioneer are great units so you won't go wrong with any of them

plus the premier is only like $10-15 more and you get 6v rca's instead of 4v. i used to have a 2 volt HU and jumping up to 6 made a nice difference because my music was a lot cleaner but i also got better rca's so it could of been a combination of both.
