Head Unit Scratch removal

Well I use this for my iPod...I don't know what your head unit is made out of so don't come running back to me if it does something wrong...but try and find some brasso. I know it's metal remover but D AMN does it work good for removing iPod screen scratches. Theres are light scratches btw.

Just google "Car head unit scratch remover"

You'll find something good. If not try the brasso its like a few bucks at a grocery store or a hardware store. Or walmart.

You can find brasso at any grocery store in the cleaning supplies isle. I believe it is near the toilet bowl brushes or it can sometimes be near the area where they have shoestrings, shoe shining kits and sewing kits...

also it looks like this:

Any abrasive should do the job (like brasso). Just remember, you are not getting rid of the old scratches, you are creating lots of new ones to cover up the old ones.
but are these new scratches so small that you wont be able to see any of the old and new scratches?

edit: damp cloths? are you talking about those micro fiber towels?

Sorry For thread jacking...but may i suggest covering your screen in 3m transparent film to protect from scratches. i beleive it is the same stuff people use on their cars to protect the paint. I used it on the display on my head unit and you can barely tell it is on their, except for around the smaller buttons. Anyways, just a suggestion. i can post pics if anyone wants to see what i mean:)

In this picture you can see ive circled the spots where i didnt have a sharp enough knife so it kinda looks messy. but none the less, serves its purpose. Overall, the film does not block you vision ofthe screen and overtime you forget its even on there.
