just keep your stock. Why waste 80+ install kit and big dollar harness for something temporary?

Big dollar? The harness isn't expensive at all. I'm going to replace my stock head unit. Just not sure which one I'm going to get yet.

I assure you these kind people are trying to help you...you would be much better off finding one on here (a used but higher end). BUT its all up to you, a forwarning that a 80 dollar brandnew deck is...well u get what you pay for.

the thing is, is that you have to do more for an oem radio to add on but if you like the stock look then keep it.. there are integrations you can get that will make it fairly simple plus they are usually line drivers and boost the voltage to the amp.. and most have some eq stuff

IMO you should spend money on a better deck, even if you have to wait. Spend money on parts you intend to keep. In the $100-150 range you can get a pretty nice new or KICK *** used deck that you will not have to replace for a long time. And by not spending the 80 on a temporary deck, you can put that towards components or something else at a later date. Dont look at it as what is happening now. look at it as a future project. The less you waste on temp stuff the better you can have in the long run.

keep your stock cd for now if you cant afford a good one...

because with electronics theres no such thing as temporary

car stereo temporary= permanent.

so read up and learn on the subject while you saving money...

SO. confirmed I should not get a "temporary" head unit now..just go with the big 3 until I get enough money for a really good h/u.
