what would be the easiest solution to get iPod connectivity through a deck without having to buy extra stuff. For example the Alpine CDA-9885 requires the HD radio tuner in order to get the iPod connectivity right? Whats a good promising deck for my 98 dodge ram 1500 (4 door extended cab) I would prefer getting an alpine deck but if theres some other recomendations im all ears.

You'd use the HD radio tuner to get HD radio.

You would use the 30 dollar (usually less) full-speed iPod cable, to control your iPod.

I'm not really familiar with other company's iPod integration, however the Alpine is quite a bit better than the Pioneer version, and leaps and bounds better than the Kenwood version.

Hope this helps some.

well that deck does look pretty good but i also want cd-playback still as well. thanks for your recomendation though!
