That audio in my daily(2000 blazer) ***** bad, all I'm looking for is a head unit and maybe a 4ch amp similar to the Alpine power pack or clarion xc1410 to power some door speakers I haven't decided on yet. I like the looks of the Kenwood kdc-x998 but am open to any opinions of clean looking head units. My big question is how easy are these dash amps to install inside the dash? Looking to spend $400 ish so any help would be appreciated.

that head unit works fine. Do that first before adding an amp, decide afterwards if you want more.

Okay thanks, I know it's kind of vehicle specific but should I just eliminate the blown dash tweeters and just run components in the front doors(which I've never done) or try to find a 2 or 3 way that'll work. Sorry for the stupid questions, I haven't played with this stuff for years and when I did I was young just throwing huge subs in everything.

Run components but you can replace the dash tweeters with the component tweeters no problem bud.

With components though, eventually you'll want to run an amp because they are power hungry.

It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...

There are a couple of options. You can use a marine bt unit. They come in the size of a hockey puck and can mount anywhere. This is the marine unit.

There are bluetooth amplifiers. You can just use your phone or an I Pod as the music source and not touch the radio.
