head lights

One of my headlights went out and I was thinking of just replacing them both. I want something effcient with low current draw and good lighting. I don't care what color, but looking for something that is good for the rain. I don't live in a rurual area, so plenty of street lighting, just some difficulty in the rain sometimes. I have 9006 headlights.

silverstars are sweet...they are not 50 bucks unless they are different prices/specs...autozone near me has them at 38 bucks for the pair for 9007 i think.

Silverstars are the way to go.

If your headlight is a 9006 socket, you can mod high-beam 9005 bulbs to fit. 1700 lumens (9005) vs. 1000 (9006). Did this with Sylvania CoolBlues in my daily driver and haven't had a burnout for 2 years.

But it can't touch my Sylvania-Osram 4300K OEM HID in my Acura TL. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

get a HID kit, you will not be disappointed
Yeah you will.

TERRIBLE optics. Hot spots. Poor cutoff. If you blow a bulb (from a poorly made "kit"), it's going to be very hard to find replacements.

Not to mention, HID kits are illegal.

If you want HID, projector retrofit is the only way to go.
