yea hes right, its not like the old school component or s video cables. youll be fine with something basic, no reason to spend the extra money on "better cables" where you wont see any improvment in picture quality.AR, Monster, Kimber, they all make fine HDMI cables, but being that its a data cable you shouldnt have to worry about interference so just about any HDMI cable should work fine, someone correct me if Im wrong here.
you really shouldn't use hdmi cables that long, they're unbalancedI purchased 2 35' and 4 3' HDMI cables from Monoprice about a month ago and all worked great for 1/3 the price of that Monster crap
