HDC318 upgrade

i was perusing audioque's website and saw i could pick up an HDC318 with a copper coil for only about $340.

right now im only working with a pair of DD 512's and an alpine mrp m650, i figured if i could sell that equipment off for a decent price i could easily make this upgrade pretty easily.

I'd probably only upgrade the sub first, use my alpine amp to power it/break it in, and then be able to install the new amp/electrical after about a month or so..what do you guys think?
