im looking for a good 18, Ive run several diffrent single 15s in a ported box in my 96 crown victoria and this car is somewhat of a bass trap. So ive decided to go with a decent 18. ive narrowed my choice down to these 3. HDC318, 19ov.2 or fi BL18. I have 1200 watts to mess with and i plan to go ported. All 3 of these subs seem to handle 1200 watts but im not sure out of the 3 which would get louder and sound cleaner off the power i have., i can fit around 6-8 cf. Anyone have any recomendations. The new btl is around 100 bucks more, but im not sure with the power i have if it would be worth it. I do want something pretty much bullet proof. I havnt dealt with Elemental designs since i bought a 15ae a few years back. It was the loudest setup ive ever owned. But i beat on it and it finally went. Ive been running a comp vr 15 and im sick of it.
Im basically looking for a daily driver sub, with plenty of spl, Ive been out the game for a while, but ive seen some pretty good things on the hdc318. Since im only running 1200 watts to it, i want something bulletproof, something i can get stupid with but still have it work tommrow. any input apreciated.
btw the box i will use will most likely be something like this, I do not have the tools/time/skills to make one.
