i never have, and never will break my subs in before going full bore on them.

breaking in doesn't damage anything.

why would you buy a hdc3 if you have a btl? even then, if you got 1kw, i wouldnt run the hdc or the btl.

heres what happend to mine this was caused by 5 burps in 1 day new recone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif on some major watts, failed at the neck joint but thats because it had to much stress on it from not breaking in the suspension properly. If you have extra money laying around invest in a bigger amp... Hdc3s and BTLS are a waste of money if your just going to give them 1k or less

that was on 2 AT7000.1's strapped to 2 HD10s the other sub was in the same condition lol Reconed to new ones again and properly broke them in and there taking it like a champ so far, the suspension is still stiff as heck though.
