I dont think the 2512 will like 2kw. The 3512 would be a better comparison but I would still choose the HDC and I've had both in 15"s.

the hdc3 is a chinese dd 9500. so its like comparing a 2500 series too a 9500 series. HDC3 ftw!

on soundpressure they did drop test between hdc3 and 9500 there was minimal difference in dbs

I think it has more potential than a 3500 series. The 3500s I used didn't like much over 2k daily whereas I think the HDC would walk away after that. The 3500s and 2500a are probably more efficient at lower power levels though so that should factor in. The HDCs also dropped a lot lower on a straight swap for me.

i guess it really depends on ur amp too is it over under rated? 2K plus id do hdc3 1.5k id do 2500 or 3500

what box? what car and amps? the 3500 is alot more efficient in a daily application, its not intended to fart boxes but can be used... in SQ the 3500 all the way for SPL the HD3 will do a bit better... its 2 totally different woofers.. and BTW the power handling on the 35 and 9500 are much difference... i know people that put 2500 to there 3500s with no problem..

A chinese assembly line sub doesn't compare to an american hand made sub that goes through several test before it leaves the factory.....

The DD 2512 will work fine as long as its clean power I know of several dual 2's being run on DD M3's at .5 daily......so around 4000 rms for the pair
