hdc3 18s are in!

Why people open hatches, and trunks with subs at full volume is beyond me..
im actually against that also. my buddy does it all the time in his yukon but his subs are faced twords the hatch and it looks really bad everytime he opens it just from the pressure change

my box for my 15 is 54 pounds, no way that one is 50-60 pounds i think a full sheet of MDF is like 94 pounds
shit... i couldnt really tell since i'd only lifted half of it... in that case, it's probably more like 150-180 pounds, it must have been close to 2 sheets.

I retract my previous statement, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

That looks quite unconfortable lol. And quite loud, very nice job.

What thickness mdf? I can't see a 3/4 sheet of mdf being more than 80 or so, I carried plenty of bundles of shingles around this summer, and I'm almost positive the mdf was lighter...

Idn, might be one of those weird things though, that, or you guys are talking about 1" thick+.

it's louder when driving. my batteries were at 12.0v towards the end of that video... gonna screw up my alternator if i do that very often. will have the 15.3 mla module middle of this week, and another d3100 probably next week, should help out some.

seriously. i havent made any boxes in a few years but when i used to, a sheet of 3/4 mdf did not feel any thing like 80lbs, 50max

Yeah it looks loud.and painful.
Add 2 more 18's and another memphis 4k. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
i wouldnt want no part of that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

this is almost too much for me even.

at first i was disappointed... then i turned off the subsonic filter on my amp. it was turned all the way down to 20 hz, but still seemed to have a pretty shallow slope. 30-40 hz was noticably quieter with it on. once i turned it off, i was impressed, but i still wish i'd tuned more like 35-36.
