hdc3 12 tuned @ 40 or higher???

right now my box is about 2.5 cubes (before sub and slot port displacement) tuned @ 37hertz but i was wondeirng what kind of differences will i see if i was to do the same size box or a tad smaller and tune it to like 40 or 44? for daily use in a 2002 honda accord V6 off a elemental design nine.1. thanks

for daily i'd tune to 38-40, i wouldn't tune any hight if its daily.

yeah, my daily is at 38hz for my 15's sounds great, hits a lot higher and will also drop a lot lower. You're at a solid tuning man, no worries. Im hitting a 147 and im at 38-40hz. You will be okay.

yeah i was just a loittle curious. this will sound gay but i know youll get my point i got the whie girl song by jeezy and played it because everyone has said it hits pretty dang hard. well i wasnt impressed his "put on" song hits like crazy so i was wondering if the tuning had anyting to do with it. gwt what im saying? lol ima ***

If you are that concerned, make a port extension. Extend your port by 3" to drop you to 35hz or go more if necessary. I have a port extension in as well. A 3" extension, again, dropping me to 35hz. It sounds decent on white girl, but i never play shit like that low, don't want anything to break hah.

I'm running a DD at 42Hz right now as I mostly listen to rock and it sounds rather good for daily....

White girl must not drop that low as my PC sub seemed to play it fine. What exactly is lacking on that song? Have you heard it on another set up and if so how did it sound compared to yours?

no i didnt hear it on a car just everyone on youtube plays it and it seems* to be a lot louder than mine. like why would they play that song to show off there system if i put on is so much louder? but yeah white girl does drop a lot lower
