hd3 vs an SSD?? Is that even a fair comparison? The SSD certainly has cone area advantage, but if you compare motors and other characteristics of both drivers then I think there is simply no contest. HD3 vs. the BL would probably be a better head to head match. Keep in mind though 2 18's will always have a cone area advantage.

their cooling system is what limits them...

i don't know how much you can throw at ssd's but I would go AQ

AQ for the win, but why in the world are you even asking this question? What kind of power do you have? How much space? Those subs dont compare, and your not going to get an AUDIOQUE HD3 that cheap without some SERIOUS searching, I know there are some listed on here, but pay attention to what your buying before you buy it.

All I can say is my SINGLE AQ HD3 15 is louder, then my FI Q 18 was if that helps you make a choice. Aq for the win, I use them in my daily driver, and comp car. DJ is AWSOME at the least
