im kinda new to the car audio thing and went thru many sytem ideas only to find out it would cost more money to do them than i have. i have a 01 mitsubishi eclipse. i want a nice sql system but overall i want to be heard comin a couple of blocks away. it shouldent b too hard tho cuz ma car is a hatch. but here is final idea. what would b a better sql setup that could still get crazy loud?

1)2 RE SE 12's ported 1.5 cu ft a piece 1000 watts rms

2)2 RE SX 10's ported 1.5 cu ft a piece 1500 watts rms(only if its worth that much more money)

3)1 15" RE XXX ported 3.5 cu ft with 1500 watts rms

which would b the best for what im goin for? and i only want options 2 and 3 if there worth about 300 more bucks that the 2 SE's. thanks

those would all be farely even imo. they'd all be **** loud. the 15" xxx would hit pretty hard with that amount of power.

if you have the money, id go for 2 12" sx's it sounds like it's what your looking for.

Id go the single XXX 15 route. Only sub they make with XBL^2, has the best SQ of them all, and was pretty much built to replace dual sub systems (its loud). To me that sounds perfect for a slammin but not too over the top system in a sports car.

jl audio w6----just kidding dude --i'm getting a 15" XXX in march gonna slap a power acoustik a3000db on it=2300 rms. we'll see what kind of damage i can do with that setup.

2 SEs ported will get pretty loud...

if your going more SPL then get the SX...

honestly if you want SPL and want to save

some cash just get a 15" SX... no need to

spend more $$$ on the XXX if all you want

is SPL with decent SQ...

Have fun getting 2300wrms out of that amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/angel.gif.fa7795fff6653f4381ba158c55a48b74.gif

if i was gonna get a XXX and a brutus it would be the 2200 not the 1500 but thats just my opinion unless packerfan has somethin he wants to say about the setup.
Too much power, its a waste. A XXX does not need 2200 watts to reach its full potential. So what, turn the gains down? Why spend all the extra cash for watts you wont use/need? And, a bx2200d costs almost $450, you can **** near buy two bx1500d's for that price, if you are intent on overkill.
