Have AMP, Have Sealed box, -NEED TO PICK SQ SUB-

I own a Pioneer GM-7300M amp, 360W @ 2 OHMs RMS, 250W @ 4 OHMS RMS, 800W Peak power. I have a 1.0 cu ft sealed box.

I want the best sound quality possible for this setup. TIGHT hard hitting bass, no muddy ERRRRRRRRing.

I have this sub right now that I can put in the box if I so choose:

But if I can find something better and sell this sub to an infinity fan instead please let me know what the best SQ sub I can get is.

Would it be the IDQ 12" and are there anymore, maybe better or around that quality?

Would it be worthwhile to sell the infinity sub and get a nicer SQ sub instead? Will the infinity sub be muddy/shitty ?

i'd take the idq over the infinity. great sub, well worth the money. you wont be dissapointed with one.

Would the rest of you throw out the infinity if you had one and buy an IDQ? I can't really find one for sale on ebay and the new prices are ridiculous I am hoping to get one used

I would take several subs you're interested in and find out their theil/small specs then use a program like WinISD or BassBox Pro to find out which one would be best suited to the box you already have.

Just throwing any old sub into a box isnt a good idea.

The box and sub have to work together to achieve good sound.

The IDQ 12" d2 v2 in bassbox in my 1 cu ft sealed box. I can't interpret the graph. Help anyone?

I can't tell but according to Image Dynamic's website the 1 cu ft box I Have is perfect for the sub so I dunno why it was necessary to go through the program to find that out

Pioneer PRS 12" if you can find one affordably(TS-W12PRS). Designed for 1 cu.ft. sealed, 300w rms, 93dB sensitivity, very high qms and very low Le for a very light on its feet and musical sub. It plays down quite low and has zero problems playing high too. The only limitation is max low end output with its Xmax excursion at 13.5mm, average but no super sub. Price is ok at around the $200 you can get them for. If you can build a larger, ported box down the road for it, the thing will really shine. Build quality is outstanding, and she's a looker too.

the perfect dvq ftw. my first real sub and it was amazing in a sealed enclosure. sounded better than a pair of 10" idq imo
