okay so heres the deal im thinkin about gettin some wheels for my 6 lug suv but the wheels that im lookin at are 5-lug panther realm wheels.....and my suv is 6 lug.....now a guy told me today all i got to do is buy a adapter for the wheels to fit on the truck and he told me the wheel would stick out a little more than a usually whell would.....my ? is would the wheel really stick out a little more than a usually wheel with adding an 6 lug adaptor or was he just lyin......and is it safe to use a 6 lug adaptor and does alot of people do this?

It sill just a bit. Nothing special. Some adapters are good, others not so good.

in your case no, i would not recoment adapters. get a full 6 lug wheel.

adapters/spacers usually range from probablly 10-40mm (helps with an offset you want/wider stance)

well see im gettin these wheels in 24 and they only cost 2,000 with tires so its a really great deal so uthink if i got the adaptor the wheel would stick out any? and would it look weird or anything

again it depends on the size adapter it is and the offset of the wheel. to determin how much the wheel will stick out.

it would probably be fine, you would have to ask a different forum. I would not change actual lug numbers. 6 to 5.

also depends on the brand adapter. H&R is who i would recomend.

i my self have adapters on my car. to change from a vw 5 lug to a porsche 5 lug. they have worked very well. and i needed different adapter widths for the front and back to get the spacing i wanted.
