Hatchback, 1200rms, 4 cubes. 4 10's or 1 15?

Buddy of mine is looking to put a system in his probe.

It's a hatch with some pretty descent space.

Looking for 75% SPL, 25% SQ

His options:

15" - Diamond D9, Fi Q, or Kicker CVX

10" - Memphis PR's, Diamond D1's, or Kicker CVR's

Which would get loudest?

Which would sound best?

For the mix which would you pick?

I originally just told him 1 15" right away, but figured 4 10's might be interesting. I'm used to single 15's or pairs of 12's, would like to check it out but don't want to use his budget just for me to see if it isn't worth it. Thanks in advance.

wow thats a spread.......Your top list actually sounds good and your

bottom list is a bunch of 59.99 subs

I have a D9 in a hatchback in my RSX,great woofer but my FIQ

which is in my truck sounds better - I am sure install has something to do with it

and the Q is alot newer ,I think D9s design is like 6 years old already....You cant go wring with the

D9s or the Q,and you can grab a D9 for similar prices on Ebay with zero warrenty

while the Q does come with a 1 year I believe

If it makes any difference, I had 4 10" JL w0's sealed in the back of my Celica Hatchback and it was by far louder than 2 JL 12 W3s sealed... Granted you said 2 12s ported (well you actually said 1 15 ported, but then mentioned 2 12s ported) but either way I was a lot more impressed with the 4 10s... It was extremely loud and sounded pretty nice (especially considering I was running a $100 JVC deck). Firing 4 10s off the rear glass of a hatch makes for some pretty nice air movement... IMO, I would go 4 10s.

Btw, How much power???
