I been on here alot asking questions and doing research. My plan was to go active with hertz 165xl wich is about 600. I chose those because of the reviews. Im now looking at hybrid audio. They have a stage 1-6 or something like that.

The hybrid audio imagine is i believe stage 1 or 2 wich have great reviews and the unity is stage 3 or 4. The unity is about 400 dollars vs imagine 250 ish and the hertz xl is about 600 dollars.

I want good mid bass and crystal clear mids and highs .

I read the hertz has good mid bass and clear mids and highs

I read the unity is very clear and detailed but not sure about the mid bass.

My question basically is does the unity have good bass? And do you guys have any other recommendation of component sets on the level of these 2 as far as clarity.

I most likely will start off passive and later go active. Its a g35 coupe with 6.5s on doors and tweets i can put anywhere.

At a sq show I heard one of the higher HAT lines right after hearing the Hertz Mille... The HAT sounded noticably better. Silky smooth refinement, detail, effortless. I did find the Hertz to be more impactful (which is a great attribute IMO).

That's just a comparison between Hertz and HAT. As to the xl line, the mid bass is very dynamic, impactful as well. You can't go wrong with either line. I'd lean toward hertz if I wanted dynamic impact.

I need to hear these. Do car audio shops stock these or do i jeed to run into someone to hear them?. Im in nj

Well there is a shop local to me who is an elletromedia (sp?) Dealer so I've heard a few different audison and hertz setups. Check if you have a hertz/audison dealer out there..the audison voce is also a great line

im not sure why people fail to mention helix so much when talking about highend speakers. hertz IMO is good mid range products. hat is high-end, like dynaudio, helix etc.. i perfer CDTs ES mids and DRT 26 tweeter for alot less than the mille set..
