hasx JL revamped/redesigned the W7 is the past few years?

my boy has 2 10W7's in a sealed box powered by the JL 1000.1 amp. he got them about 3 years ago, but shortly after, he was hit by a drunk chick head on and his car was totalled. the subs are in great condition and have not been used in 2 years.

i am considering taking the whole set up off his hands for a ridiculous price but if i am going to upgrade from an alpine type r to a W7, i wanna at least get the latest version of the W7.

my question is, to you guy's knowledge, has JL redesigned or changed the 10W7 at all in the past 3 or so years?
