Hard head unit decision

It won't let me see it because i am not registered could you copy and paste?
I've finally got this HU after weeks of waiting. It's a **** good upgrade from my old Pioneer DEH-2400F! The menus aren't half as complicated as people say, they're pretty straight forward and easy to learn (for me at least). There are 3 lines of configurable text display or you can choose which screen you want (5 options).

I bought this unit for the following reasons: It's an eXcelon unit which are supposed to be good, 5v preouts, and USB input. I thought that my 30gb external 2.5" hard drive would work, but IT DOESN'T!! Pissed me off so badly! I think that the HU can't give enough juice to the drive, all it does is sit there and click, but on my computer it works fine.

I'm now using a 1gb USB flash drive and it works very well. You can skip from folder to folder, you don't have to scroll through each and every song. It reads the drive very fast and switches tracks instantly.

Sound quality is very good (to me at least, keep in mind I upgraded from the old Pioneer). There's a HPF and a LPF, but no EQ. You've got subwoofer volume, bass boost, fade, balance, etc. There's also the G-analyzer which I won't even bother to mess with, but it's there. I wish that there was a volt meter on this deck though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

All in all, it seems to be a very solid deck, the menus are great, screen looks awesome, there are tons of features and little tweaks, so for now, I'm happy.

Some pics are below, some of em are shaky and my camera is not forgiving.

I've always loved kenwoods for thier sound and options, this is coming from a pioneer owner. I just have stayed away after one unit i had the old d mask ones ****ed up 2 sdays after getting it, Circuit city gave me the run around. I'll never get another unit from kenwood Ive seen 5 units with the motorized face mess up.

KENWOOD FTW, awsome bang for buck units

where on earth do you plug a usb device into that sucker at? or is it one of the black cords comin out the back?
It has a cord on the back of the unit. I run it to my glovebox and stick the flash drive in there. Been a few months and I have no problems at all. The beauty of this is, I don't really play CDs anymore now that I can just use the flash drive which I think is awesome.

idk if i've ever used the radio presets on my hu since i bought it, its either been the ipod, mp3 cd, or the sattelite radio.

i read an older thread that said this hu is picky about the jump drive you use and what format the music is in have you had any trouble with this?

And where do you get your songs you put on your jump drive download them?
