hard drive

what i did i got a new wire type thing and had a guy program it all so they all hooked up together and plugged in and used the same memory.

maybe there is an easier way i dunno i just had a comp dude do it for liek 30 bucks including the wiring

Are you hooking these up as a RAID? How big are they? Sounds like one sexy PC...
no...not sexy at all. i started of w/ a 13gig, then got (for free) a 20gig. and now got (for free) another 20gig. whats raid, and sata, and all that other junk?

lol, Well that is 53 gigs, what do you use your computer for that you need that much memory? I have a 160 gig HD, but only have 26 gigs used... For normal PC use, I would say you will be fine with the 33 gigs you have. Or just sell all three on eBay, and buy a single 60-80 gig drive.

jellyfish, comming from the main board to the HD is a IDE cable, looks like a wide cable with 40 or so wires, there should be another plug on it just plug it into the 2nd HD then plug a power supply hook up into it, then set the master and slave functions

thats how the first 2 are. the second ide cable goes to my dvd drive, and my dvd burner... so where would the 3rd drive go?

Dont forget to get the jumper settings correct if it is a IDE, which it most likely is. You will probably need to buy a pci adapter card but they are fairly cheap at newegg.com (where I bought all of my computer parts from).
