Happy Birthday Tupac Shakur

Doesnt matter anyway, biggie killed his ***, then laughed about it and went to tupacs hood. even made a few songs to celebrate it, who shot ya, and goin back to cali. so what can any of you people say about that? besides that it got his big *** killed as well. I know they still play biggie in the clubs and on the radio, and that shit is from the early 90's. Listen to biggies song called "juicy" and try to say he wasnt one of the best rappers ever.

i don't like 2pac or biggie but i hate biggie i can tolerate pac a lil bit other than that i don't listen to either one. I'm more in to the local scene we have lots of talent here in new orleans and i believe if any one that hates mainstream rap and wants to hear some music that has meaning and tells a story with a moral at the end then they should come to new orleans and hear what people have to say, the only problem is we don't have enuff attention down here to make any moves, i've been rapping and producing for years now and i've just recently been able to get recognition around new orleans and its surroundings

double disc solo debut album release date expected to be at the end of the year, i was

thinking some where around christmas so i could sell more cd's as a christmas present //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

but i haven't made my mind up yet i haven't even recorded any tracks for it either but

by the time its all said and done i plan on having 34 tracks 140 min runtime approx.

$16.99 retail and if you would like i can autograph copies and send them out

to say tupac is nothing more than a rapper who came out at the right time is not an opinionated statement. its a factual statement. and it is not a fact. if it was a fact no one could disagree, but obviously millions of people would disagree with that statement. so its a factual statement that is false.

think about what u just said for a minute.....a FACTUAL statement that ISNT a fact. if that was the case.....ITS AN OPINION! and i know PLENTY of people that would say pac should be 25 on a top 50 countdown. he sure as hell dont deserve number one on all of them.

I'm more in to the local scene

local talent is all over in orlando. http://www.myspace.com/maddillz , havent been able to search for much here in mississippi yet, but im sure there is some. all in all pac (to some/most that believed all the bullshit media hype) did his thing. biggie did his thing as well. over done and move one. all i know is i get TIRED of him bein number one on all the top artists of all time list. cuz he is by far NOT the best ever.

Why do you always blame peoples fame on the hype and media? What if people just plain LIKE his music? Get your head out of your *** you tool...

umm.. if u comprehended it correctly you would understand that the point i was making was that you claimed to make an opinionated statement which was actually an attempt to state a fact. but the fact you attempted to state was FALSE, so not only is it not an opinion, it is bullshit.

HAPPY 35th BROTHER

2pac is the most respected and greatest rapper ever IMO and im sure hundreds of thousands of people across the GLOBE agree with me. like Primo stated above, he is a LEGEND. i dont think any of this has to do with WHEN he came out. it has to do with WHO he was, WHAT he had to say to us, and HOW he taught the world to be REAL. how did he do that? by exposing the fake. how did he do that? by addressing issues ranging from "baby momma drama" to politics, and by attacking rappers he felt had no position to say "I'm THE SHIT." take biggie for example.. who was around the same time 2pac was.. 2pac represented the westcoast supposedly and biggie erpresented the eastcoast supposedly. 2pac dissed the living shit out of biggie.. what did biggie have to say in return? nothing. why? cuz he COULDN'T say anything.. 2pac was just keeping it real. in conclusion, tupac is the greatest rapper ever and there is nothing anyone can say to diss him becuz he is just too highly respected. he is the shakespeare of our time. thank you for taking the time to read my speech //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Here's the thing...picture this right here...you listen to the radio...and you hear a song you really don't like at first...but you hear it again...then you hear it again...over and over until finally it gets stuck in your head and you like it...you've all had that happen before....well you see...the media is like that song on the radio in a sense....so is the public...you hear something over and over and over again until YOU yourself start to believe it without even concidering the value of truth it holds....this is my analogy to 2pac....he portrayed his death through his lyrics for YEAAARSSSSS...then he finally died and the country/world went into a huge uproar sayin' he fakes his death and what not...seeing as how America LOVES controversy people started to pick apart his lyrics and see how he talked about his own murder and death...people were so blinded by the awesome controversy of his music and death that he "suddenly" became the best without people taking the time to concider the truth about it...period...people heard it from all over that he was the best so they themselves started to believe it...because they heard it time and time again...

2pac was and will always be a rap legend...YES...there is absolutely no denying that at all...but the best? hell no...he was extremely talented...his messages were great...he was deep and poetic...and he was "real" as most of you like to say...but how does that make him the best? we are taking about rap here as a lyrical science....Multi's...metaphors...wordplay....2pac displayed only Multi's half of the time...while never having hardly any sense of Metaphors or Wordplay...he may have been the best at getting messages across through his music yes....but does that ONE aspect alone make him the best? listen to yourself...sit there and ask yourself why he is the best...I ask EVERY 2pac fan that...they all give me the same answer or no answer at all...."he was just so deep man...everything he put out there with his music and the messages he gave through it was phenomenal"....well if thats your thing...more power to you...I respect your opinion...but the fact of the matter is....more then HALF of the people who believe 2pac to be the best really only do because thats what they've heard for the past 10 years without taking the time to find out on their own...

If you are a listener and not a writer....your credibility in my opinion is cut in half...if you write you understand the science and the creativity and the awesome talent behind being a TRUE lyricist...(well half of them do)...listeners listen to what THEY believe is good...when really they have no idea what is ACTUAL talent....(again half or more...not all)....

If you ask 70% of writers (speculation from my own experience I can't speak for others around the country) who they believe to be the best emcee of all time....you'll most likely get 1 or 2 answers....Nas or Jay Z....period...

In my personal opinion Jay Z....Nas...Eminem ( yea I said it )...Papoose...Royce Da 5'9''...AZ...BIGGIE....Big Pun...Big L...Rakim....Method Man...Redman...and Andre are ALLLLLLL better then 2pac...but this whole thread is based on opinion...listen to all these artists in their entirety while keeping an open mind...they are all sound...well rounded artists...2pac was 2 dimensional...if his song wasn't portraying a "deep message"...it was about how "gangsta" he was...that is it...he is top 15 material most definitely...but the best? get real...
