Do any of you know how a halfway house works? Do the people that stay in it pay rent? How exactly does it work? Food, clothing furniture etc.
It's an ex-inmate halfway house. I just wondered because there is one directly behind me and the house is in the same condition as the houses around it. They have a stereo in it that's loud enough for me to hear from inside my house. They also have weights in the backyard. Some of them are huge. Maybe I'll start working out with them. They get really into lifting weights. I hear them at night yelling when they lift. They're full of energy when they lift. I wish I had that energy when I worked out. I'd be 50 -75 pounds stronger.Your not being specific on what kind of half way house. There are homes for the mentally challenged and there are others for drug addiction. I had a girlfriend who was in a halfway house for a few months and eventually went to a 3/4 house. here in texas she was getting state funding as well as her father was paying like 700 a month and the place was pretty ghetto to say the least. The food was discussting and it seemed to her atleast that most of the people there were praying on people that were in a weakened state. Lots of homosexuals and diseased drug attics. I have plenty of crackhead stories, everytime I called her it was something new and colorful to laugh at.
unless they went to prison for raping little boys...then don't go over.Just walk over there and ask em if they'll let you lift with them...I mean they're ex-inmates. Obviously they're out for doing good/serving the right time. Loud systems = good friends.
I have to agree with this guy, dont bust out doing some squat thrusts or touching your toes the first couple of times.unless they went to prison for raping little boys...then don't go over.
Do people just think they know what the thread is about and respond???Whose raping lil Boys n shit?

I don't endorse it at this point but I can see how people fall into it. Why take a job that doesn't pay enough to survive when you can get in the street game and have a decent life, except for the risk of going to jail. But for some that isn't much of a risk at all because it gives them food and shelter. The people behind me probably aren't all that bad.
