Id look for an amp that you can strap at 2 ohms, rather than trying to wire each sub to an amp at 1 ohms and trying to match gains.

The Orion 2500D, Viper 2500D and the old Directed 2400D (the bigger long one not the round cased ones) can sometimes be found for less than $200 on eBay, and they all make over 2200 watts RMS. The Viper and Directed are pretty long, almost surfboard status.

Nope, that brand died out like 6 years ago, I used to have a Viper 2500.1 and it was pretty nice, it can do an honest 2200~2400 watts. The reason why I mentioned those three amps is because they're all from the same parent company (Directed Electronics).

Narrow the search down to strappable amps. I don't know of any single amp that will do 5000w @ 2ohms so You'll need two matching amps that can strap together.

That's what I was looking for. Two 2500 watt amps. Just don't know what one I want or what one to look at...
