TAKE IT BACK. Metallica was never hair band. They never had the sappy love ballad though. Thats part of what made a hair band a hair band. Like Guns'n'Roses.

I hate hair bands, they were what killed Metal by releasing pop "metal ballads" that went on to be the only rock radio stations would play .

Now if you want real metal, the best was Judas Priest or Ozzy Osborne (My first date with my eventual wife was to an Ozzy concert. Three months before Randy Rhodes got killed. Awsome player) .

i agree they didnt sound much like hair bands, they were alot heavier for sure, but they themselfs called metallica a hair band, hetfield at one time had a sticker on his guitar that supported winger.. one of the biggest and shittiest hair bands made to be, this is going nowhere in any case, who gives a **** if they are or arnt a hair band, they had good music.. HAD

Agreed. Their new shit sucks out loud. But you cant get any better than their classics. One, Enter Sandman, Call of Ktulu, Estacy of Gold, etc... I could go on forever

Motley Crue put on one hell of a show back in the day. Especially if you wanted to see lots, I mean LOTS of topless drunk chicks! Tesla was awesome too. Sorry, I like some of the hair bands, but there were some REALLY bad ones, Warrant, Winger, eh, the list of bad ones is hella longer than the good ones.
