it may be wrong in your opinion to not delete the thread, but where is his accountability in this. He CHOSE to make the thread. He shouldn't have WILLINGLY CHOSEN to make the thread in the first place. All of our actions have consequences and at some point in his life we have to take responsibility for them. I mean he could just tell the academy what he did was a joke and they might just understand his point of view and let it slide. Who knows. That is being a man and admitting to one's actions more than having something he did (ala making the thread) deleted. I'm not judging, the internet almost got me fired 4 years ago looking at NWS material, but I owned up and they gave me another chance. This can be a great learning experience for him.

But what bothers me about it is the profession that he chose in life. We can all agree (to a certain extent) that we need more officers in uniform. Alot of cops do good and change communities for the better. He made one joke. One dumbass joke. It's not like he was looking at **** like your lame ***.

I hope you get in the academy OP, you don't seem like a bad guy and if they can't see your true character then they are screwed in the head. But at the same time your character would look much stronger by owning up to what you've done on the frontside
